While many users are still waiting for Android 12, rumors about an Android One UI 5.0 update based on Samsung Galaxy F42 5G getting Android 13 has begun. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Android 13 (One UI 5) Update Status

We also did not see a replacement for this device. This device was launched with Android 11, One UI Core 3.1, and is currently running on the latest Android 11 (One UI 3.0-One UI 3.1.1).
Samsung has promised three years of major Android updates for the Samsung Galaxy devices, and they have delivered them. The Galaxy F42 5G has received three key updates – Android 12. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is currently running the latest Android 12 update. This could be the third and last major Android update for this device. . This device may have to spend a lifetime on Android 12. Android 13 is less likely to come to Galaxy F42 5G.
The above details are not valid as Samsung has not yet announced the Android 13-based One UI 5.0. It’s just speculation based on Samsung’s renewal policy. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G can only get an update to Android 13 if Samsung thinks it is too generous.

How to Update Android 13 (One UI 5,0) on Your Samsung Device?

- Extract (unzip) the firmware file. Recommended using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Download Odin Tool.
- Extract the Odin ZIP file.
- Open Odin and execute the file.
- Power off your phone, and go to the Download Mode Follow these simple steps;
- (hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons / hold Volume Down + Bixby buttons then plug-in cable).
- Connect your Samsung Galaxy phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin.
- Add the 1 file of Samsung firmware to AP/PDA or 4 files of Samsung firmware (AP/BL/CP/CSC) to its slots.
- Make sure the re-partition is NOT ticked.
- Click the START button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
Congratulations, now your Samsung Galaxy F42 5G One UI 5.0 has been updated to the latest version, and you can check it by going to Settings, and then skipping to the About device or About phone.
