Samsung Galaxy One UI 5.0: Android 13 Update in 2023

In line with tradition, Samsung will be releasing a new version of the One UI 5.0 alongside Android OS upgrades for mobile devices. It will be called One UI 5.0.

Features of Galaxy One UI 5.0 (Android 13)

Although it is too early to be sure of One UI 5.0 new features, this upcoming latest version will be based on Android 13. The latest OS version is in preview mode on selected devices non-Samsung and may offer some features One UI will boast.

Android 13 brings additional UI changes and moves other UI features like settings and power shortcuts within the Quick Settings menu. Google may also expand on the personalization options.

It is not clear whether the One UI 5.0 will be borrowed from Android 13, but Google’s firmware is already showing signs of borrowing from previous versions of the One UI. Preview Android 13 build, for example, we have introduced a new flashlight setting.

Google says the latest version of Android 13 will come down to Pixel phones sometime after July. Samsung will not be able to beat Google in its release which means we will soon be seeing Samsung release Android 13 sometime in late summer or early autumn.

If Samsung actually gets its beta process and is working this summer, we could see the official release coming months before it usually does. Samsung usually releases new Android apps by the end of the year.

Samsung’s Android release process from 2021 to 2023 so it is likely that Galaxy One UI 5.0 (Android 13) will come out much faster than One UI 4.0-4.1 (Android 12) did.

That being said, while most Galaxy models will get Android 13 and One UI 5 in the second half of 2023, many more will have to wait until 2023.
