How to Screen Mirroring to a Samsung TV

As technology advances, so does the vocabulary associated with it. I’m very confused by the current usage of terms like “screen mirroring” and “casting”. what do they all mean All you really need to know is that they both let you stream videos, photos, and other content from your phone to your smart TV.

What is screen mirroring?

The answer is in the name. It’s screen mirroring. With this feature, you can mirror your smartphone screen to a larger screen such as a smart TV. Your TV will show you exactly what you have on your phone, including videos, photos, and settings menus. When you do something on your phone (like moving to another app), that action also appears on the other screen.

On Galaxy devices, the screen mirroring feature is called Smart View.
You can easily mirror your screen with Smart View by tapping the Smart View icon and following a few simple steps.

On the iPhone, the Screen Mirroring feature is called AirPlay and does exactly the same thing as mirroring an image, video, or other media. Using AirPlay is similar to using Smart View, but slightly different.

Whichever you have, it’s a great way to share your phone’s videos, photos, and more directly with your smart TV.

More recently, Samsung restricted this further on the latest Android operating systems by only allowing Smart View to share content with other Samsung-branded devices.
